Welcome to Barefield NS

Barefield National School has a distinguished history in the field of Education. Since 1895, it has been a progressive centre of innovation and excellence in teaching and learning.

Our children have access to fantastic facilities. We have sixteen mainstream classrooms, a special class and multi-sensory room for children with autism, six support teaching rooms, a large school hall, library, astro-turf pitch, basketball yard, two playing pitches and spacious yards. All classrooms have the latest flat-panel interactive boards.

Our new prospectus for 2026/2027 is ready and will be available at the Open Night for 5th and 6th class primary school pupils, and their parents & guardians, on Tuesday 14th October 2025 at 7pm.

The prospectus will also be available to download shortly.

County Finals don't come around too often so we are asking all households, businesses and schools to show your colours and fly the flag!! If you have a car that needs a touch up or a few stray sheep you want to call your own! Paint them!! 🤣🤣🇶🇦🇶🇦🇶🇦🇶🇦🇶🇦. 🏐🏐🏐🏐
