Welcome to Barefield NS
Barefield National School has a distinguished history in the field of Education. Since 1895, it has been a progressive centre of innovation and excellence in teaching and learning.
Our children have access to fantastic facilities. We have sixteen mainstream classrooms, a special class and multi-sensory room for children with autism, six support teaching rooms, a large school hall, library, astro-turf pitch, basketball yard, two playing pitches and spacious yards. All classrooms have the latest flat-panel interactive boards.

Our Men’s Senior Footballers are running a Cash Machine Call draw to help cover coaching, gear and pitch costs for the season ahead – and you could walk away with €1,000 for just €10.
Here’s how it works:

Number randomly drawn
€1,000 prize announced at 1pm on Sunday 7th June
If you can, grab a ticket today and back the maroon and white. It’s a small ask, but it makes a huge difference to what we can provide for players from underage right up to senior.
