Welcome to Barefield NS

Barefield National School has a distinguished history in the field of Education. Since 1895, it has been a progressive centre of innovation and excellence in teaching and learning.

Our children have access to fantastic facilities. We have sixteen mainstream classrooms, a special class and two multi-sensory rooms for children with autism, six support teaching rooms, a large school hall, library, astro-turf pitch, basketball yard, two playing pitches and spacious yards. All classrooms have the latest flat-panel interactive boards.

Our 6th Class pupils are getting on their bikes! Over the next 6 weeks, the children will take part in a cycling safety course, learning how to cycle safely and confidently while developing their knowledge of the Rules of the Road.

Through practical activities and guidance, the pupils will learn important skills such as safe cycling techniques, awareness of other road users, road signs, and how to make safe decisions when cycling.
